How do I get the WEDA Events app?
It is free to download and use. Search for “WEDA Events” in the Apple App Store or on Google Play, or open the web app straight from your browser. It works the same way.
How do I buy a ticket, and where does it end up?
You buy it on the event page, with your card. The ticket arrives by email and as a PDF, and it also shows up in My Wallet inside the app, with the QR code the door scans. You do not need to print anything.
What are tokens, and do I need them?
Only at events where the organiser runs them. Instead of paying at the bar with cash or card every round, you top up once at the till and then pay by showing a short-lived code from your phone. Whatever you have not spent by the end, you get back at the till.
What happens if I cannot go any more?
It depends on the organiser: some allow the name on the ticket to be changed, sometimes for a small fee they set themselves. The event page and the organiser’s terms say which rules apply to your ticket.
Is WEDA only about Latin dance?
Yes. Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and Zouk: festivals, congresses, workshops and socials. It is built for that community rather than for events in general.
Does it cover events worldwide?
WEDA was born in Europe and coverage is strongest there, but the catalogue keeps growing, and the US, Latin America and other territories are being added. The country filter shows you what exists today.
Can I add my own event, venue or artist?
Yes. The app has built-in forms for submitting events, artists and dance venues, and everything is verified before it goes into the catalogue. If you sell tickets, there is a whole organiser side. See “Sell tickets with WEDA”.
What does Premium actually add?
Browsing events, artists and locations stays free. Premium adds the full calendar intelligence, exclusive coupon campaigns, custom checklists and priority access to new features.
Can I cancel Premium?
Yes, at any time, from your account area or by writing to us through the contact page.
